About Us

But for the whole story, you have to go back to 1953. The scene: Dick Busheé and his father, in their basement, stuffing, sorting, stacking, managing, and mailing direct mail letters for their very first client. By themselves. By hand. They were testing the waters part-time while both kept their day jobs.

More clients and projects followed. Then in the early 1960s, the little venture — known as Mailing Services of Pittsburgh — seemed more serious, and the company became Dick's full-time career. He began approaching charities, starting with The Salvation Army in 1965. There was big potential. In the 70s, Dick Busheé's kids got involved in the business, too.

More growth led to a bigger plant, more equipment, and new clients. Continued success through the 90s paved the way for more staff and more capabilities, along with the creation of MSP Development Group as the fundraising strategy and creative arm.

Then, in 2008 the evolution continued as MSP Development Group rebranded, becoming TrueSense Marketing. And that's where we are today — the direct marketing and fundraising agency implementing the proven strategies of our groundbreaking donor-focused approach to fundraising.
